At Impact Alternative Learning, our strength lies in our people. Our team is made up of passionate, experienced professionals who are committed to supporting young people who need a different approach to education.We understand that every learner who comes to us has a unique story, and our staff are carefully selected not just for their qualifications, but for their ability to build trust, inspire change, and create meaningful relationships.

Our team works collaboratively to provide a safe, structured and nurturing environment where students can rebuild confidence, re-engage with learning, and develop essential life skills.

We pride ourselves on being:

  • Relational, not transactional – we build genuine connections with our students

  • Consistent and calm – providing stability for young people who need it most

  • Adaptable and responsive – tailoring provision to each individual’s needs

Our wider team includes mentors, vocational instructors, and subject specialists who bring a diverse range of skills and real-world experience.

  • Mentors & Key Workers – Provide daily support, build relationships, and guide students through their individual learning journeys

  • Functional Skills Tutors – Deliver English and Maths in a way that is engaging, accessible, and relevant to real life

  • Vocational Leads – Deliver hands-on learning in areas such as boxing, fitness, mechanics, construction, and creative subjects

  • Pastoral Support Staff – Focus on emotional wellbeing, behaviour support, and developing social skills

  • Many of our staff have backgrounds that allow them to truly relate to the young people we work with. We believe this is a key factor in our success.
